Going to Hopeland was like going home. A big part of this is due to Godfry and Immaculate who call me their daughter. I first met Godfry when Immaculate and I traveled to Gulu, they were engaged at the time. I had the privilege of attending and photographing their wedding - people still talk about the dancing and celebration of that day, it was quite the party. Godfry named their first child after me: Praise Amanda. I was so excited to meet little Praise for the first time, she is just over a year old right now. Immaculate, Godfry and Praise have become my Ugandan family and I love them so much, they took good care of me while I was in Jinja.
