Not long ago I was hiking through the woods on my way to a huge, majestic waterfall. Most days I'd be so focused on the path in front of me and my destination that I simply wouldn't notice the world along the way. But as I went deeper into the greens and blues and siennas of the forest, as I breathed the thick, dewy air, the little things held my eye captive...The way the sun streamed through the leafy canopy above, casting a glowy green light all around, the layers, textures and lines, the contrasts and the colors, the forest made liquid glass in the reflection of a calm pool...sometimes it's the little things that amaze.
